Annual Committee Elections

Each year, a new committee is elected at our Annual General Meeting (AGM), held in November. All committee positions are declared open, and members can nominate themselves or others for a role.

Details of the AGM will be shared with members ahead of time via our social channels.

What happens at the AGM?

  • A club update takes place e.g. Reports from the President, Treasurer, and other key roles, a summary of the season’s highlights and challenges etc
  • All committee roles are declared open
  • A vote is held to elect a new committee for the upcoming year (voting eligibility criteria applies)
  • Roles are filled, based on majority vote if multiple nominations for a single role.

Anyone over 18! New and/or existing members can nominate for any role.

We welcome fresh ideas and new faces—if you’re keen to contribute, we’d love to have you involved.

To be eligible to vote at the AGM, you must have served as a committee member during the previous season.

Refer to the Club Constitution for details on the minimum required length of committee service.

Committee Meetings

Our committee meets monthly to plan and manage the smooth running of Southern Suburbs Netball Club. Our meetings help us stay connected, discuss upcoming events, make decisions, and ensure everything is on track for our players, coaches, and wider club community.

  • When: First Monday of each month
  • Where: Virtual/Online (link provided to committee members ahead of time)
  • Time: 6:30pm (for approx. 60-90 mins)

Did you know..?

General members and club supporters who would like to bring something to the committee’s attention are welcome to attend any meeting.

Missed the Annual General Meeting? No problem. We’re always looking for volunteers to join our general committee.

Our club doesn’t run itself – it’s powered by a team of dedicated volunteers who make it all happen behind the scenes. From uniforms to game day logistics, fundraising to end-of-season events, our committee supports SSNC to run smoothly.

Being on the committee is a chance to:
