Overview

Each year, our SSNC Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in November. At the commencement of the AGM, all committee positions are declared open, and members are invited to nominate themselves or others for a role. All nominations must be received at least 7 days before the AGM.

An election is then held to determine the incoming committee for the season ahead. Learn who is eligible to vote in the election.

Full AGM details, including dates and times, will be shared with members in advance via our social channels.

What happens at the AGM?

  • A club update takes place e.g. Reports from the President, Treasurer, and other key roles, a summary of the season’s highlights and challenges etc
  • All committee roles are declared open
  • A vote is held to elect a new committee for the upcoming year (voting eligibility criteria applies)
  • Roles are filled, based on majority vote if multiple nominations for a single role.

Who can nominate for a position?

Anyone over 18! New and/or existing members can nominate for any position.

We welcome fresh ideas and new faces—if you’re keen to contribute, we’d love to have you involved.

Note: Nominees must attend the AGM.

How to nominate for a role

Note: Nominations must be received a minimum of 7 days prior to the scheduled AGM date.

Who can vote

To be eligible to vote at the AGM, you must have served as a committee member during the previous season.

Refer to the Club Constitution for details on the minimum required length of committee service.

Committee Meetings

Our committee meets monthly to plan and manage the smooth running of Southern Suburbs Netball Club. Our meetings help us stay connected, discuss upcoming events, make decisions, and ensure everything is on track for our players, coaches, and wider club community.

  • When: First Monday of each month
  • Where: Virtual/Online (link provided to committee members ahead of time)
  • Time: 6:30pm (for approx. 60-90 mins)

Did you know..?

Our club doesn’t run itself – it’s powered by a team of dedicated volunteers who make it all happen behind the scenes. From uniforms to game day logistics, fundraising to end-of-season events, committee members keep SSNC running smoothly.
